Evangeline Deane

Occupational Therapist

Evie graduated from Curtin university in 2020 and joined ACRS as a new graduate. Evie completed one of her final student placements at an aged care facility and through this, discovered her passion for working with the elderly. Evie believes in providing holistic care to the geriatric population to ensure they are living a meaningful and purposeful life.

Evie has a strong interest in neurological conditions that impact the elderly, as well as rehabilitation principles that improve cognitive, social and physical functioning. Evie endeavours to continue to increase her knowledge base in these areas by attending continued professional development courses and gaining experience out in the field.

Evie follows the principles of person-centred care which puts the individual at the centre of the treatment, ensuring that they have autonomy and choice. Alongside this Evie works with the individuals interests to ensure her practice is strengths based. Evie has strong communication skills that allow her to create a positive atmosphere and work collaboratively with individuals and their families. Outside of work, Evie enjoys a balanced lifestyle. Some of her favourite activities include socialising with friends, working on fitness goals and having self-care time.
